This game was played on the Club ground before a good attendance. The house teath were without. Gerrard, and McCubbin filled the vacancy. G. Rodger appeared in goal for the Club for the Arst time this season. The Surreys won the toss and elected to play with the wind in their favour. Several corners fell to the Surreys in the opening stages of the game but shooting was very erratic. RUSSO-ASIATIC BANK Rodger was well to the fore and saved several shots using great judgment in clearing The Surreys took the lend after about ten minutes play, Woolridge receiving from Eaton and giving Rodger no chance with a fast shot from "clase rauge Howard and a chance to make all square for the Club but miskicked ten yards only from goal with Douglas to beat. For a time after this the Surreys pressed. burt Rodger dealt successfully with the shots sent at him. Howard had another chance but again failed to turn the ball goalwards. The soldiers had the advantage of a strong wind in the first half and obtained before the interval the two goals by which they won the game. The play opened very evenly, and each goalkeeper was called upon to clear. After about fifteen minutes play the ILG.A opened the score, Hemsworth beating Ruse with a shot from close range. Keeping up the pressure the RG.A. went farther ahead ten minutes later, Hemsworth again beating Ruse. After the interval the sailors playing with the wind had more of the game and Smith in the R.G.A. goal was called upon to save from Wald- ron. Connor and Hosking, Corners fell to both sides but they were no improved upon and the final whistle found the halftime score unaltered, the R.G.A winning by two goals to ni.

On the Kowloon F. C. ground the teams played a goalless draw. The Police fielded a weak side, McWalter, Swan and Wynne being alrent from the side, while Bidwell, the Despatch's full back, injurul himself licking in before the game and could not take part in the match. Hughes, the reserve, filled the vacancy. The strong gross wind spoiit any attempt at combination and the standard of play was low, Haif-time, no sere,
The second half was more keenly con- tested and favoured the sailors but Mair was safe in goal. The Police had a chance to take the lead, for Hughes whe penalised for handling in the penalty area in his attempt to beat Jessop who wan

HOW TO GET GOOD SERVICE FROM
MICHELIN TYRES.
Keep tyres pumped up to correct pressure for the load they have to carry. We can tell you what this should be.
-When
tyres are under inflated there is continual internal friction between the foundation cord and the rubber, causing overheating of the tyre and consequent rapid deterioration.
Water can also enter causing rust, resulting eventually in the rims having sharp edges which cut the walls of the tyre near the head.
Most cars in Hongkong run on under inflated tyres with the above disastrous results. Have your wheels examined front and rear for trueness and tracking alignment. If they are at fault in this respect the tread of the cover is subject to a grinding action which" quickly destroys the cover.
Keep tyres free from oil and grease..
Start and stop gently and-take corners slowly.
Lastly buy MICHELIN
tyre satisfaction is assured.
