The Shanghai market shews signs of improvement and both Ewos nud Hong- kow Wharves are firmer, while Shanghai Docks are also in good demand."
Bank-The Hongkong and Shanghai Barks have shown very little variation and transactions "have been made at 81,147 to $1,150. The London price re mains unaltered at £130.
Marine and Fire Insurances-Unions have bean doalt in at 8935) to 8938 and more are wanted at the latter figure. There are enquiries for North Chinas at Tis. 10 and China Fires a $140. Cantons have sused off to $705.

Hongkong and Whampoa Docks were done to a fair axtelt up to $1691. but the demand has since slackened.. Hongkew Wharves have spurted to Tls. 190. Shanghai Docks could be placed at Tis. 914.
Lands, Hotels and Buildings,Hong- kong and Shanghai Hotels have weakened and are obtainable at $283. Hongkong Lands showed an easier tendency at the outset, and were placed down to $110. but the price quickly recovered 8114 and at this rate, the market closes "firmer. Humphreys Estates are enquired för at 893) ex the dividend and bonas of 81.00 just paid. Princes Buildings are steady at $150.
Cotton Mills.-Ewes have charged hands at Tls. 12.00. A dividend of Ts. 0.55 for
the year ending December 31st, 1923, has been declared. Orientals have declined to Tla. 5. Shanghai Cottong at Tls. 66 are unchanged.
Miscellaneous-Chinn Providents have come to business at $27) to 823. Green Island Cements, after having been done at 837 have strungthened and buyers are now offering 8373. Hongkong Realtys have been put through at $9.00. Canton Ices have been taken off the market at 87 and Dairy Farms at $251, Peak. Trams have changed hands at the improved price of $15 for the Old and $3 for the Now" shares. Hongkong Ropes have lapsed to a nominal quotation of 8523. Watson's are in demand with buyers at $26. Lane, Crawfords have spurted to $181.
