INTERPORT BILLIARDS.
MATCH OPENED LAST NIGHT.
The interport billiards match between Hongkong and Shanghai was commenced last evening at the Club Lusitano and will be continued this evening and to morrow evening. Two games are to be played each evening, one at 6 o'clock and one at 9 o'clock and 500 up will be played in each case, and the total number of points scored are to count as the decid- ing factor. Last evening's games were very interesting. The first game, that Barradas (Shanghai) and between P. F. M. Ozorio (Hongkong) was mark- ed by slow play. At the end of the first half hour the Shanghai man bad scored
and the Hongkong player 14. Ozorio was not playing confidently and Barradas reached 100 when Ozorie was still at 35. At 7.45 the Shanghai score stood at 408

With a oumber of the balls breaking badly and Remedios small, carefully compiled breaks the playing for anfety. Shanghai man forged ahead, reaching 20 first. He was still in the lead at 300. From then on Ivanovich took charge, making a break of 76 and reaching 500 with the Shanghai man on 307.
Mr. BAILEY paid tribute to the last year's committee. He would especially like to mention the good work done by the retiring treasurer (r. Stokes). He hoped that the new committee would do even better than the past one.
Mr. MORLEY said that it used to be the policy of the Association to publish in the local newspapers a resume of the work done by the Committee each month by the Association. Unfortunately, this was not kept up but if members wished to know what the Association was doing they would find a few interesting items in the newspaper columns on the first Mon- day of each month.
The Rev. Mr. LINDSAY said it might be sufficient answer to those people whe asked what the Association was doing to tell them to look round and potice the various improvements in Kowloon, traffic signs. letter boxes. latrines, etc. All these were due to the efforts of the K.R.A.
