THE VICTORIA REGATTA. Yesterday saw the close of the Victoria Begatta after one of the inest successful events of the past few years. For the Arst time is hicory the Royal Hongkong Yacht Club was defented in the fours for Chabor's Challenge Cup, and lost its flag to the Victorin Recreation Club,-the or ganizers of the regatta.

During the day H.E the Governor Sir Reginald Edward Stubbs, K. C.3.G.), -attended on the Naval launch. Stanley, accompanied by Major-General Sir John Fowler, Sir Wiliam Rees Davies, Com mander C. W Beckwith, and a number of ladies

Others among those present were "Blesses, G. Duncan, R. J. Dixon, R, M. Dyer, and E. Cock, all of them old rowing men of the Colony.

At the conclusion of the racing the cups were presented to the winners by Bir D. K. Blair, Vice-Commotore of the Royal Hongkong Yacht Club.

Mr. W. Logan, Acting Chairman of the Victoria Recreation Club, introduced Mr. Blair to the assembly, and took the opportunity of thanking the various profile responsible for the success of tho jegatta..

The Submarines simply walked away. with the race right from the start. There was a struggle for second place between the Volunteers and the P.W.D. The lattor boat drew up level at 200 yards from the finishing post, and completed the course a length ahead of the Volunteers.
