BRIMFUL OF ENERGY

Two of the main reasons why so many people are lacking in energy are imperfect digestion and constipation. If your stomach and liver are not doing their work effectively your system will. ..not be properly nourished. If your bowels are irregular a certalo amount of waste matter will be retained in the system which will adversely affect the purity of the blood. Now, Beecham's Plis have an excellent effect upon the digestive and eliminatory organs and exercise a tonic and energialog influence upon the

TOO PRETTY FOR POLITICS,

"USING POLITICS TO FIND A HUSBAND."

A sform of a new and unusual sort broke over Tokyo's political sen last week when a public statement charging Miss Hiroye Kohlyashi with using politics to find busland was issued" by Miss Kameko Kawamoto, according to the Зарал Adver ther Both-women were members of the Kakushin Club, the first political organiza- tion in Japan to admit women and Miss Kawamoto recently attracted considerable. attention by being the first to send in har application to join. If she will agree to do this, Miss Kawamoto says, the more serious minded members of the group will be able to proceed with their work, but if she does not the cause of dissention will be brought formally to the attention of Mr. Inukai, president of the club, and an effort to expel her will be made.

GIRLS BOYS.

TEACHERS' VIEWS ON THE BETTER SEX

There will probably never be fully con- vincing answer to the question: "Are Boys Superior to Girls!"

All the evidence availablent the moment on both sides is set out in "Differentiation of Curricula Between the Sexes in Secondary Schools."

The evidence offered by teachers in co education schools and by examiners, is set out. From their statements it would appear that boys are in general more selfassertive, more original and more constructive than girls

Girls, though more persevering and indus trious, are set down as more passive and

views were corroborated by the examiners of the Oxford and Cambridge Schools Examination Boael.

Other reflections which will probably be resented by the feminists are that girls are less logical, less able to comprehend and apply a general principle, less able to grasp essentials, more casily fatigued, mentally and physically.

On the other hand, it is generally agreed that girls are superior to boys in all forms of memory work.

It is true that the committee in giving these general differences, point out care. that though the evidence of these fouchers and examiners is interesting and suggestive, it should be received with con- siderable reserve, as it is obviously based

on

ordinary observations, which were necessarily often not very exact and were limited in scope and range
