The Afteen year-old Sydney boy, Charlton, who swims on the lines of the American trudgeon crawl with a fast arm action and is being trained by the bolder and the ex-holder of the Australian Sprint Championship has won the New South Wales Half-Mile Championship, beating the world record by 19 seconds.
ROY'S SWIMMER'S FEAT. Sydney Charlton, a 15 year old boy swimmer, has been accomplishing amazing times lately. On January, 3rd, he broke the world's record for the half mile in Rushcutters Bay baths (Sydney, N.S.W.) his time being 11 min 3-5 sec.
