VESSELS ASHORE, RESULTS OF RECENT HEAVY WEATHER.
The recent-heavy weather in the China Sea has caused a good deal of delay in the arrival of vessels from the South and a certain amount of damage to shipping. At least two steamships have gone ashore, The .s. Emprise of Russie, which came the Harbour at daybreak on Saturday, after anchoring in Junk Bay all night, reports that three days before, Eignals, she picked up fains 5.0.S." but it was impossible to make cut the name of the ship from which the message was sent. Late, however, it was ascer tarned that the signal was made by tho s. Stureursdike which ran aground on the Royal Captain Shoal at 4.40 p.m. on
