This game attracted a large crowd af football enthusiasts to the Garrison ground at Sookunpoo and they were rewarded with a fine exhibition of football, the game onding in a win for the military team by three goals to two. The sailors were unfortunate in having a penalty awarded against them when leading by two goale to one, but on the general run of the play the King's were the better team. Warne, a new arrival, turned out for the sailors and this player opened the core early in the game by heading a pass from Barkham beyond the reach of Drennan in the King's goal. The sailors again took up the attack bus. were penalised for a foul, and from the free kick Williams was sent down the wing and sent the ball across the goalmouth and out of play. The soldiers.. again got away on the right, and Williams gave put them further ahead by placing the ball to Jones, who sent the ball into the net, well out of Woodman's reach. Half time, SOUTH

Williams dropped the ball in front of goal but Stirk cleared Williams, who was playing a great game on the wing, came down again and gave to Jones but that player shot wide. The sailors then took up the attack and Imeson centred well. Wrigley tipped back to Osborne who sent the ball into the net. With two to ong against them the soldiers put or pressure. Scott sent in a drive which Hooper just managed to tip over the bar.

The sailors cleared from the resulting flag kick just as the whistle sounded for half time with the Hawkins leading by two goals to one.

From the restart, Kowloon livened up and Coombs got the ball out on the wing and went down, forcing a corner which was fruitless. Play for a time was even, each goal being visited in turn, From a long range shot, Coombs just skimmed the bar with the ball. A free kick against the sailors was the outcome of Kowloon's first goal, for Duncan beat Phillips. Titania took up the attack from the centre kick and Woodman was called upon to save a bot shot from Emery. From the goal Hick, Morrison sent the bali forward to Mason and that player tipped on to Clemo who sent in a well placed centre and Duncan found the net making the score two goals all.
