8. P. D. MORGAN WINS THE BELT, The thirteenth Boxing Tournament of the Hongkong Boxing Association was held at the Theatre Royal, last night, HE the Governor (Sir R. BIX-ROUND LIGHTWEIGHT CONTEST. A.B. Butler (HM.S. Ambrose), 131 lbs., . A.B. Eardley (Submarines), 137 lbe. The fight opened with Eardley as the aggressor. The footwork was poor, and the defence weak. Eardley was light with his straight left. In the third round Butler attacked and used his left to great advantage, getting in three almost in Buccession to the jaw. There was much clinching. Both fighters seemed half hearted about the business and in the fifth round Butler retired, Eardley being de clared the winner.
