This Company has been formed principally to promote the use of reinforced concrete in building and engineering work generally. This form of building material is greatly in -favour in Europe and America for its cheapness and the Buring in time in erection. It should be expecially in demand in tropical places owing to its great resistance to the deleterious influence of the climate anil to the attacks of insects such as white-aats, etc. It seems therefore an ideal isterial for Hongkong as a substitute for the expensive and often inferior materials at present in ne Honses are particularly scarce in Hongkong at the present time and there signbl, be a lack of work for a Company such as this. The Company has already large contracts in view both for fresh work and work in process of Construction which it hopes to secure. The Company empowered by its Memorandam of Association to do all kinds of engineering, building and architectural work and for the objects it has in view a large capital will eventually be required.
