WEDDING:-
THE PRINCE AS BEST MAN. When a bridegroom is closely related to the Royal House of Windsor and the bride is reputed to be the richest girl in the kingdom, a wedding may be expected to arouse a good deal of public interest. And when it becomes knows that the King, the Queen, and many other members of the Royal Family intend to honour the ceremony with their presence, and that the Prince of Wales has consented to net as best man to his cousin and old shipmate, it will tako more than a few drops of rain to keep people away. The sight-seeing public, it is said, was beginning to collect in Parliament square, around St. Margaret's Church, West. mininster, not long after dawn on July 18th: and by 1 o'clock all the pavements, from under St. Stephen's Hall right round the sqnare, were thronged with people.
Misa Ewina Cynthia Annettee Ashley (for so her name was spoken in clinrch) is the elder langhter of Colonel Wilfrid Willam Ashley, M.P. for the Fylde division of Lancashire, and, through her mother, grand-daughter of the late Sir Ernest Cassel, who left her a large part of his enormous wealth. The bride groom is just 22; the bride is 21.
