CANADIAN PACIFIC FAST FREIGHT 'SERVICE.
To meet the demand for an "Empress Service" for Oriental shipments between Vancouver and Canadian and United States Points, the Canadian Pacific Rail- way has recently been giving special altention to the creation of a fast servico
in connection with its True reig steamer. Every detail likely to hamper the quick movement of freight has been closely supervised, and all departments are working together to supply present day requiredients. That these efforts are meeting with access can best be judged by the fact that ordinary Oriental ship- ments are being regularly delivered at their destinations in the following times from the ship's arrival in Vancouver:- 3 days. No alteration, is being made in the chedule of the famous Canadian Pacific Silk Trala. In this connection it is in- teresting to note that for over a year now the Emple of Russia and Empress of Asin have never failed to arrive Vancouver on their schedule date. With the addition of the Empress of Canada nud Empress of Australia within the next few months, there will be a regularly fortnightly service, which we have no doubt will live up to the Company's high mputation for speed and punctuality.
