Mr. Halfour who said that, despite the fact that the Conference bad seemingly travelled all over the globe considering trifing details, great, moral questions had been met. Any antion which in the future sought to transgrees the principles laid down by the Conference regarding China would be considered outside the comity of astions.

He has for many years been a valued servant of the Eastern Extension Company, and has held appointments at most of their more important stations, including the Cocos Islands, Perth (Australia), Saigon, Labuan, and Foochow.
