The stencilled; models which Margaine Lacroix and Madame Ehrenbourg-Man- nati.showed, at the Salon d'Automne last week have caused quite a sensation in the fashion world of Paris, and already the host of imitators who live by stealing the creations of others are launching copies of them broadcast. As this is a fashion which is bound to be adopted by women with clever fingers and a certain artistic senso to enable them to decorate their own creations, those who always aim at being in the vanguard of fashion are making hay before it is too late and adopting. stencilled models before they have become the common property of the multitude.

To those who would try their 'prentice hand at such work, let me advise the choice of only the most subdued coloure as well as great care in the blending of them. For the decoration of nearly all hez modele, Mme Ehrenbourg ManDAG chose black and white, grey, gold and ailver and brown tones; a maize-coloured néglige is decorated with a pattern work- ed in dull red and yellow shader, and an afternoon dress shows a design worked in jade green, but these are the only ex- ceptions where colour is freely used.
