Some very interesting matches were †phtyed-on-Saturday in spite of the fach uncertain and that the weather was showery. The light was not good during the afternoon and towards the close of play many of the matches were finished in the twilight. It was, however, a batsman's wicket and in one or two cases some very good scoring was recorded. This was notably the case in the match of the 0.8.C.C. against the R.G.A., where in an innings of 205, G. R. Sayer scored 171 not out. He gave no chances with the exception of one very hard catch behind the wicket when the score stood at 50.
On the Club ground the H.K.0.0. best the Navy by three wickets, Pearce and Mitchell being mainly responsible for the victory.

Bowling Analysis.
The game was fast throughout and although the club were two down at the finish the result-does not bear on the play. The sailors were betted sorved at forward for in the early part of the game. the Club forwards could shoot anywhere, except to the goal. It is a pity to record that a splendid game was marred by ill- feeling in the last ten minutes which re- suited in a player of each side being cau-. tioned. Had the Navy finished with nice men and the Club with--ten they would. have got their desserts," for at least three men should have been ordered off for persistent rough play in the closing nicutes.
The Club stand was well filled when Begg started for the Club at 4.15. The Club were the first to attack and early in the game Forsyth was a trife too late to take advantage of a neat pass from England, for Mitch running out picked" the ball practically off Forsyth's toc Hands against Brazendale stopped a rush by the 2amar forwards and the Club got down. Soth miskicked a long pass from McTavish bas the ball rolled over the lize in the absence of the Club forwards to take advantage. J. Rodger handled 25 yards out and Hudson placed well from the free kick Atkey heading in wide. Forsyth forced. Hatton to concede u
and England kicked behind.. McTavish came down the wing and. centred, Smith clearing by kicking to touch. Following the throw in, McPhail tripped Abbott, Atkey received from the free kick and seat in straight to Rodger who cleared. Mitch picked one out from almost under the bar, with the Club for- 10% wards close, in, and shortly afterwards Begg brought the sailors' goal-keeper to 18
his knees in stopping a fast ground shot. Hudson got in the way of a hard drive". from Begg when a goal seemed certain. Grant running, through for the Tamur. sent the ball along the carpet to Rodger.
