With Prince Axel of Denmark, Queeä Alexandra's nephew, as master, the 7.000-tons motor-ship dia, belonging to the East Asiatic Co., Ltd.. of Copen hagen, arrived "at Hull in the middle S. 4

of October. The Prince, who has joined

the Mercantile Marine, is 33 years old. and is accompanied by his wife, Princess Blargaret of Swedea."

Four steamers were loading cargo for the Far East at Swansea when the last mail left. They were the "Burypylua. Polyphemus-Bjerg-Alor (?) and Oanja. These, vessels were taking tinplates or galvanised sheets for China, Japan and the Straita Settlements. The Polyphem is the first vessel to take banker fuel oil from Swansea for the Far East.

The N--C. Daily Nera mentions the arrival at Woontg. Inst week. of the German str. Beatrice, From Hamburg na boing, in a sense, an event of some im portance, for no German craft has put into the river since the early days of the War.
