LOS ANGELES PACIFIC NAVIGATION CO.

Owing to the depression in trade the Los Angeles Pacific Navigation Co., has decided to suspend its service between Amèrica and the East and to close its Shanghai ofico.“

Mr. B. D. Burn, the local agent, in- formed a representative of the N.-C. Daily News, that the service, though suspended temporarily would be resumed when conditions were in a better shape.

When the Los Angeles Pacifie Naviga tion Co. was organized, approximately 80 members of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce subscribed the capital neces sary to secure the allocation of the vessels, which were desired to give Los Angeles & direct steamship service to the Far East. The company hopes to be able to buy now ships in the near future when s resumption of the service may once more be brought about:
