THE SIXTH CONGREGATION..

The sixth Congregation of the Univer- mity of Hongkong for the purpose of con- ferring degrees, was held yesterday, in the presence of a brilliant assembly of leading residents of the Colony.

Before the ceremony proper began. His Excellency the Governor (Sir R. E Stubbs, E.C.M.G.) opened the new tennis courts of the University. Mr. R. K. Simp san, the champion tennis player of the Colony, welcomed His Excellency and presented him with a miniature racket in silver to mark the occasion.
