CLUB WINS BY SIX POINTS,

The rugby football season in Hongkong opened yesterday evening, with a game on the Club ground, the Club XV. most ing & fifteen from the Ambroge. Although the game was not very interesting, through Jack of practice on both sides, it revanby the possibilities of excellent rugby in the nar fature. The Club, yesterday, won by 6 wickets, bath trieg being scored in the send half. There was very little in the gade worth resording; it was inclined to

be scrappy throughout. The Club proved themselves to be superior to the Ambrist sewn, and in the first half, the oval was razy always near the Ambrose twenty Sve line. In the second half the Ambrose

showed improvement, and commenced to prea, but after a few tainutes play they' once more fell back and the Club took up' the attacking. Wallnce and Dick secured "the two tries, both of which were, however,
