The T.K.K. steamer Koyo Karu, which rus aground on the Serrana Bank on the Mexican (half, on June 28th, was re-floated. on August 1st, arrived at Cristobal, on August 5th and sailed from there to Balboa for repairs. The damage is not merious.

LARGE PASSENGER LINER FOR "SEATTLE-ORIENT RUN.
It has been announced in Seattle that n 21,000-ton passenger liner for operation on the Seuple-Oriental run of the Pacific Steamship Company, will be ready for delivery to the company September 28th. The information on the new stentnship wha given A. F. Haines, vice-President of the stenship company by Admiral W. S. Benson, chairman of the Shipping Board. It was the belief of the Chairman that the Board will be in a position to turn other big liner over to the corporation before the end óf 1920.

The second of the four boats being built for the U.S. Shipping Board was launched last week at Kiangnan Dockyard the remony being performed by Mrs. M. A. Perry, wife of the Yokohama representative of the U.S.S.B.
