The annual sports for the Himgkong Schools, which took place on the Race course yesterday, attracted a crowd of nearly 2,000 boys and girls, to say nothing of a large number of the older folk. Thanks to the fine weather which pre- vailed, the events were worked off without a hitch; some of the officials having an It is not exceedingly strenuous time. possible to enthuse over the arrangements. No attempt was made to keep order in the earlier part of the afternoon. and hundreds of boys strayed about the course when they should have been well out of it. Later on, when His Excellency and Lady Stubbs arrived, an attempt was made to remedy the situation and some of the officials got unnecessarily heated.

Two matches were played in the semi- final round of the Handicap Singles "A" Olliver defeating Greenaway after losing the first set. The second set provided very oual tennis, both men playing for safety, Olliver finally won 2-6. 9-7, 6-3.
