The annual general meeting of the above Company was held in the Hongrong Hotel yesterday, Mr. J. Scott Harston presiding. The others present wore Sir Ellis Kadoarie, Messrs. C. 8. Gubbay and F. Maitland (Directors), Mr. J. H. Tas gars (Manager and Secretary), the Hon. Mr. Lau Chu Fak. the Hon. Mr. Ho Fook. Messrs. H. Percy Smith Kotewall, W. Dunbar, E. M. Raymond I had hoped that others in the Island. E. Abraham, Ho Ewong, Lo Cheung Shiu, Who, I am sure, are interested in the sub-M. Manuk, S. Michael (by his Attorney, fect, would have ere now indorsed the Mr. W. G. Joseph), Fung Tat Hang, and admirable sentiments and suggestions Ho.i. therein contained, but so far I have read of none in your valuable paper. although several of my friends hare ex pressed themselves in accord with these suggestions.
