The best of yesterday's tennis matches was that in which A. D. Humphreys and J. D. Humphreys met and defeated Major The Greenaway and Major Ardoino. game was noteworthy and saw a remark-
recovery by Humphreys. They lost the first two sets, 46, 14, bus in the third set they showed their real form, winning 6-1. The fourth set was a protracted struggle, the Humphreys eventually win ning efter 14 games had been played. In the fifth set Ardoino and Greenaway made a determined effort, but they were unable. to combat the extreme steadiness of their opponents who won 6-4.
