DODGE BROTHERS

..

MOTOR CAR

Its Goodness is alone responsible for the unusual demand that has existed right from the beginning.

Nothing has ever disturbed the demand for this Car. No outside conditions, no conditions inside the industry seem to slow it up a particle. The people want the Car more intensely at this moment than ever they wanted it before. The Car has reached the stage when its sales are almost automatically increased. By this we mean that one sale is almost certain to result in one or

two other sales.

There is a very pronounced and definite public opinion now in this country concerning the Dodge Bros. Car.

People seem to know that Dodge Brothers' idea, from the very first, was that if they built the Car right, nothing else mattered. It is the quality revealed in its performance which makes the price impressive. People are attracted by something more than price "it is the internal and external excellence which characterises the Car..

The high price it demands when sold second-hand increases the respect in which the Car is held.

"

It would be hard to find a truer test of enduring worth. People are not eager. for used Cars unless they know that such Cars have before them a long life of satisfactory service.

And so the Dodge Brothers Car is bought, not apou price, but upon the quality and value that it embodies,

The clinical and scientific meeting of the British Medical Association opened on April Sthat the Imperial College of Science South Kensington. The meeting was divided into three sections - medicine, Murgery, and preventive medicine and pathology.

"

In the section of medicine. Dr. F. W. Nott. in a paper on war neurosis, referred to the vast number of men dis abled by functional diseases due to un- precedented exposure to all the develop ments of scientiñe hotbarisin. According this experience the most serious cases of neurosis occurred in 1913 and 1918, when men were, continually on the offen. sive outmanned and outgunned. Three forms were recognised by the War Offer namely, shell-shock, hysteria, and neuras thenia. Shell-shock was an unfortu nate terna, and led to misconception. A great many men who had been returned as suffering from shell-shock would have been more appropriately designated sheilaby." A soldier whù had an in. born or acquired emotivity would sooner. or later suffer" with a psycho-neurosis. The varied hysterical manifestations were due to emotional shock, and were curable as contra-suggestion. The war had pro- duced no new nervous disease. Severe shock might induce the manifestation referred to in a potentially sound individual. In 10 per cent. anger was the dominant fen- ture, and in the remaining 80 per ceat.

+

the primitive emotions were fairly equally represented

Colonel E. E. Bubbard said if the League of Nations bore the fruit which was expected of it the subjects of that discussion would become one with only an historical and a gradually fading interest. They must hope that the number of victims of war neuresis would rapidly dwindle under the influence of pance or remedial measures. In that case shell shock would resemble a comet, which for a short while absorbed the attraction of the scientific world and newspaper Press and then departed into chlivian for a

One of the greatest war problems of the London Scottish Regiment was how from his brother Lindsay. They were the to distinguish Ralph Brown (now dead) twin sons of Mr. G. T. Brown, of Manor House, Bowes Park.

Colonel Gank said the great lesson that had been learned in, this war tak a clear conception of the biology of a wound It was now clear that nearly 100 per cent of all wounds were contaminated It had been abundantly proved that mátnéptics: by themselves were of littlej The twins were inseparable, and so value in preventing sepsis. In the South strikingly alike in every way that it was African War they had been led to think hardly possible to distinguish one from that chest wounds were bost left dosed, the other. but then conditions were different, the wounds were mostly due to riffe bullets, the climate was dry, and the sail clenn.
