M. R. W. Carpenter. Engineer of the P.W.D. stated that a report was made in writing, by the manager of the con- traeting firm, concerning the prisoner, OR January 13th. Our receipt of it, he took the letter and the manager to the Police Station and handed the case over to Inspector Te-rett.
