THE COLONY'S RAIN. The Colony experienced a very heavy rainfall during last week, no less than 13.71 inches having fallen between 10 am, on Sunday, September 15th, and 10 am. yesterday. This brings the total for the year, as registered by the Observatory, up to 98.07 inches, against an average of 73.37 inches..
The rain which commenced on Sunday evening continued, with a break between Tuesday morning and Wednesday morn ing, till the early hours of yesterday. The highest rainfall in the week occurred be- tween Friday and Saturday morning. when no less than 7,19 inches were re gistered.
