There was a fair attendance of service men, but the game was rather disappointing Both players were much below their usual form, and frequently broke down at very easy shots. Ellarby alowly forged ahead, in the early stagen of the game until Barker pulled up with (Mr. Johnstone) 1 a nineteen break, helped with a fluke at

At the Hongkong Magistracy, yesterday, Mr. J. R. Wood, in his capacity as Coronet, held an inquiry into the circum. stances surrounding the death of Chinese girl, six years of age, who was knocked down and killed by a motor car on May 4th.

FUNERAL OF MR. A. P. NOBBS. The funeral of the late Mr. A. P. Nobbs, whose death was announced in our last issue, took place yesterday evening at Happy Valley. The Rev. H.
