ROBBERY WITH VIOLENCE,
Tam Pak-lath pleaded guilty to assault- ing a woman at Yaumiati with intent to rob her, and to wounding with intit to do grievous bodily harm.

ALLEGED KIDNAPPING
Lawn Tro plades, guilty to kidnapping a five-year-old boy.
The Crown Solicitor, proxecuting, said the prisoner was known to the father of the boy, who lived at No. 24, Pokfulam Road. A woman was charged with kid napping the same child some time ago, On the night of July 18th Inst the sister in-law of the boy's father took the boy out to Yaumati, to see her son. When she was returning, the prisoner accosted her, and asked her permission to take the boy 1o. toa, She demurred, but Gnally consented. The prisoner took the bay to a shop,, telling the woman to remain at the Yaumut wharf. An hour passed, but the prisoner did at return and, getting alarmed, the woman report ed the matter to the Police. Sergeant Murphy stated that the man went to three houses at Yaumati; and said they had come to inspect the lights. UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A DAGGER
A Chinese was charged with being in unlawful pastosion of a dagger,

It was stated that when the defendant was arrested he told the Sergeant he had picked up the dagger from a staircase On being searched at the Police Stativa several pawn tickets were found on his person. It was alleged that defendant had probably pawned articles which he had stolen. If this were provid, other charges would be framed against him.
The case was · Kojourned, till next Thursday, bail being fixed at $75.
CREATING A DISTURBANCE.
A Chike women was charged with creating a disturbance in a homo at No. 38, Wellington Street.
It was alleged that the delcndant, who is living on the third floor of the house, created a disturbance on November 15th, by throwing furniture about the room, and spilling water, which leaked through the crevices in the fcoring and soiled the fumiture, etc, of the occupiers of thu floor beneath. The defendant was charged with a similar offence last year, but was discharged with a caution.
Mr. J. R. Wood fued the defendant 85, remarking that, should the offence be repeated, aho would be sent to gról.
