Mr. Bowley again referred to the re- commendations by the Board which had not been adopted in the estimates of 1918 and for which non-adoption no specific reasons had been given by the Govern ment. Mr Bowley asked that these re- commendations might be set out clearly in the Minutes. Some of them had been, recommended in previous years and would probably be recommended again in the future, and he considered it was import ant that the Board should have a record of these matters. Among these resuminenda. ́tions were (15) provision of a second storey to Junior Inspectors' quarters at Kennedy Town-the-present quarters had been. described as "an oven in Summer and a cellar in Winter," (18) permanent quarters for scavenging coolies instend of matsheds; (17) Completion of Bath House in Gough Street (recommended for 1915); (15) Bath house with the quar- tere proposed in item 16; (20) Trongh clunet at Shektongtsui (recommended for 1917); (91) Urinal at Hill Road, Tran Circle (recommended for 1914); (2) 30 lic Latrine at Bamanipo; (234) Urinal at top ut Eastern Street in Bonham Rom. Urifial at junction of Caine Road and Glenealy; (28) Pig landing at Kennedy Town; (27) Washing tanks at Kau-lung- song, and (30) Wholesale poultry depot.

The Colonial Veterinary Surgeon, re ferring to the recent outbreak of anthrax, said the collecting depot at Wuchow was 'supposed to be an infected place and cuttle were not received from that depot now.
