Hongkong won their second league match rather easily on Saturday, when Pearce, Murray and Muriel gave the Service

Five individual half-centuries were. made on Saturday's league matches, and some very good cricket should be seen this season. T. E. Pearce, of the Hong kong Club, as top-scorer on the day with 62. The bowling honours fell to G. E. Marley, of the University, with the marvellous average of 7 wickets for 4 runs against the Middlesex. Fawthorp, of the Middlesex, did the "hat trick.".

A friendly game was played by these temps on the Club Ground on Satur 'day. The Club were rather short of players, making their teams up with a couple of players (röm, military teams. The game was a fast, interesting one, both goalkeepers having plenty to do, and doing it well, especially Goldenberg, who again and again saved what looked like! certain goals.

MacTavish opened the scoring for the Club with a well-placed kick, his opportunity being brought about by some good bustling work by Wood. Shortly afterwards Gretton qualised, and later on, Baxter who had been putting in splendid work for the soldiers on the left wing, restored the head to his side with a good shot. There was no further scoring before half-time.

The second half was almost a repetition of the first, a powerful attack giving the defence plenty to do. On the whole the Gunners had the lion's share of play in this half, but the Club frequently broke away and should have scored, but were weak in front of goal. There was no scoring until just upon time, when Green, by a very clever individual effort, eluded the opposing
