2ND LINCT. AN. DUFFY) We greatly, regret to annoure that news has just been received by Messrs. Laws, Bingham Matthesen: Arthur Noel Duffy (2nd Licit 8th North Staffords) has been repofed by the War Office as missing, believed killed, Novenia 17-90, says the 3.0 Dally News!
Mr. Duffy was educated at Chefo School, which he left to join the staff of Messrs. Lowe, Bingham and Mathews He left for home in January, 185, and was gazetted thnost at once His father, writing on November 24 say his son went through the great ofensive from July 1st right up to the apture of Beaumont Hamel, ete. He apelialized in bombing and became bombing officer instructor to his battalion. He was wounded in the knee in July, and made ight of it, continuing with his regiment, when I could easily have got a senth's Convalescent leave.
Lieut. Duffy was a member the Rowing Club, a fine swiroper and also kee member of "A" Company. He was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Duty, who were membra of the China Inland Mission. their last station being Wul, andl great kyn pathy will be felt with them in here [ bercafensent.
