The review of troops by the President at the Bouthern Hunting Park was the most picturesque event of the day. A few road has been made from Yungting en (the southern gate in the Chines ity wall) to Nanyuan, the location of the aviation school, and along this proceeded yesterday numerous inotor cars, innumerable carriages and hosts of ricshas, conveying sightseers to the soone of the great military spectacle. The route from the Chienen was heavily guarded, soldiers not only being placed on the road but in the balconing of two storied houses in the city itself, while beyond the confines of the city the new read was lined by soldiers, every sixth standing at the ready with his rifle, his back to the rond. The growing crops were cut down abou; fifty yards on either side of the roadway, and beyond this was posted another line of soldiers, so that all hun precautions were faken to guard against the hunter and the assassin.
