Caming, Singapore, recently sent the following information to the papers:- A steamer of about 4,000 tons arrived at Batavia on Sunday last, May 14th, at about 6p.m., and anchored in the port of Tanjong Priok. She hoisted the German merchant ship fag, and the officers appeared to be Germans. The steamer was painted to represent a British India Steamship Company's Vessel, and had been damaged by gunfire. She appears to be German vessel that has escaped from shelter at some forel port and has been damaged by British gunfire.
