A remarkable story of how, a Chinese- died while leaning against a wall is told by one of the Police Reserve. The officer was patrolling Kennedy Town and,anwa man leaning against a wall, but did not regard the incident as usual. Two hours later le observed that the man was. in the same attitude and proceeded to nake investigations. He touched the man- and found the body was cold and rigid, The man had died while in this posture.

Mr. A. P. Miller, a native of Hang- kong, and son of Mr. £. E. Miller, was admitted to the California bar on the 10th: ultimo, being one of the fifteen successful candidates out of seventy six examined. He has secured his license as au LL.B., and is now a practising at torney in the State of California. An extraordinary story was told at th Magistracy yesterday in a kidnapping case.
