But of course if this allocation of profits does not moet with your ap- proval it can be altered by this meeting. With regard to the turbine extension, this, I am glad to say, has made good progress during the year and we have been very fortunate in suceeding in getting the plant completed and shipped from Eng- land. As the works which supply this machinery were in the hands of the Ministry of Munitions you will under stand that it was only by strenuous efforts on the part of our Agents in London and their Consulting Engineer, Mr. Mend. han, that we finally got the plant finished and shipped off. With the exception of the turbines, all the plant including the Babcock and Wilcox boilers, the pumps, economiser and pipe work and the cable to the ducks, is now completed. The turbines, I am glad to say, are now dus by the Tydens and we hope to have every- thing ready to supply current from same. sometime in February. The question of motor buses to which I referred at our last meeting has made no progress and I merely mention, it to keep it before you, As to the coming year, I am very hopeful. In our new Superintendent, Mr. Ireland, wo have a very energetic man, and he is now endeavouring to popularise the use of motors by the small factories and other power consumers in Kowloon to which we shall be able to supply current at favourable rates as soon as the turbines. arrive. Not only that, our ordinary re- venue for the past three months is already considerably above the last year's average, and of course this will be very greatly increased when we are able to supply power and light under our contract with the Dock Company. I beg te propose the adoption of the report and accounts.
