THE CHAO HO" AFFAIR,

AT SHANGHAI

A motor-launch with some forty men,

under cover of the Admiral's Bng, bearded the Chao Ho and took possession of het Fire opened, to which other Chinese ships replied. After an hour this stopped and all remained quiet till 2, when a shell from the Ying Suz struck the Chao Ho abaft the bridge and set her afire, where upon the rebels fed to Pootung, where they dispersed.
