PHILIPPINE SUGAR GROWERS.

GOVERNMENT AID.

The Governor-General of the Philip pies announces that it has been decided

deposit an additional 700,000 pesos with the Bank of the Philippine-Islands to be lent by the bank, in its discretion, to aid in the cultivation and marketing of this year's sugar crop. With this additional loan the Goverment will have P.2,700,000 deposited in the Bank of the Philippines, fully secured, which may be used by the bank to aid the hacenderos.
