It was evidently not antici- pated that the perilous enterprise of Rifle Club to-morrow at King's Park forcing the Dardanelles could be achieved Ranger without loss of ships, but it is something to be proud of that not a single ship has been sunk by the enemy's batteries. The loss of the Triumph makes a special appeal to our sympathies in Hongkong. but we have the satisfaction of knowing that she has added to our naval history a record of magnificent achievement, and abundantly justfiod the name that was giron to her by the British Admiralty.. Another ship will take her place and the majority of the men who have fought so courageously in the Trump happily live and will continue the fight in that undaunted and invincible-spirit which has always distinguished the British Navy, until the end and aim in view have been finally and fully attaincil.
