CHAMPION STAKES The attendance on the third day of the race meeting was not quite so large as on Tuesday, but the weather proved ideal, and racing was always good. HE the Governor, Lady May, and the Missa May were again present in the Governor's box and had the satisfaction of tecing Dunro- bin, which proved such a satisfactory winner on Tuesday, again perform so well that it secured second place in the American Cup, being beaten narrowly by Dunrobin came in for Liberty Dahlia another ovation when it returned to tho Paddock.
