Our readers, says Church Notes, will have seen in the columns of the daily press, the announcement of the death at the front of Rev. W. H. Foster Pegs, C.F., who was well-known to many in the Colony, and who only left here a little over a year ago. He will long be remem- bered as a keen and zealous churchman and as u preacher of considerable power and eloquence. He was an Honorary Chaplain of the Cathedral and gave very great help in the Services, especially by taking the early Celebration of the Holy Communion at the Cathedral. He did great work for the CE.M.S in this Colony, and took
an active part in starting the Cathedral branch of that Society, the Garrison branch having previously been the only one here. He did much work among the childron and used to have a children's service in the Cathedral every month. In the athletic world be was the winner of. the local golf championship and was well- known on to cricket field. He WES recently mentioned in despatches. May ho rest in peace.
