WEEKEND SPORT.
THE HONGKONG DAILY PRESS, MONDAY, DECEMBER 14mm, 1914.

The day was ideal for outdoor exercise, and in the afternoon Happy Valley presented an animated scene.

POLICE 1. CIVIL SERVICE
A Police team and the Civil Service second XI met on the former's ground on Saturday, but the enthusiastic influence of a football game in which the police were engaged bail a most disastrous effect upon the more sedate encounter. The Civil Service put up 132 for and the Police had scratched together 45 for five and then found that the "tail" had vanished co another part of Happy Valley to play football. Nothing remained, but to aban don the match
BIC SCORING ON CLUB GROUND. There was some hard hitting on the Club ground on Saturday when Craig ongower opposed & Club team. Batting first, Craigengower did quite well to total 152, the efforts by Braga and Viveash being commendable. However, the bowling of the visitors was very much on the weak side as the scoring of the Club batsmen. indicates Pearce, in the course of his oxhilarating innings, secured thirteen ours, and twice lifted the ball out of the ground. Hooper also made the bowling. look quite simple, and Leigh Bennett and Mitchell assisted their averages con- siderably. Details:-
