SHIPS LETTER BOXES.

THE HONGKONG DAILI PRESS, FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 18TH, 1914.

1-It is hereby notified that during the continuance of the War all outgoing serrespondense

mast be posted at the General Fist Oleo or at say of its Branch Offices. -2-Stiys' Cicers are strictly forbidden to receive on Ecard their vessels any correspondence

3-Shipmasters are rot allowed to place or expose on board their vessela Istler boxes for the per ose fecollent ng correspondence; all such teres found exposed on board their Vessel will benen ove! and returned to the Gereral Post Offico.

Shipping Comfonies must not receive from the Public for inclusion in their abips Papers eny but bena fide Consignees letters which should to left pen for inspection when required.

5-Shipping Companies should sinte in their notifications to the Post Office the exact hear of departure of their vertels in order that the public may have every facility for posting at the General Post Office.

6-Shipping Companies and Ships' Officors must send to the Post Office ALL correspondence except bon de Consignees' letters posted in the Ships Letter Boxes or received by Ship Cicers at the ports from which they sailed, or anywhere en route to Hongkong. 7.Tto above regulations will not affect the licensed Private Letter Boxes carried between Borgkong and Croton by the vessels belonging to or managed by the Hongkong, Canton and Macao Steamboat Co.

WAR RISKS ARE NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE.

The Parcel Post service to Egypt and countries beyond is for the presoni suspended.

The Korea, with the AMERICAS Matt, left Yokohama for Hongkong vis Manila on the --- 16th inst, at 10 am, and is scheduled to arrive here on Monday, the 28th inst.
