DIET IN DYSENTERY,
The danger dysentery involves is too rell known to need dwelling on. redn
While ipecacuanha is the drug doctors rely on in the disease, no one should proscribe for himself when he can get medical aid.
It is imperative, however, that the strength should be maistained during the attack so that the sufferer may overcome the disease and that convalescence may be hastened after the acute stage is over. For these purposes, Senatogen takes the Brat place, for a distinguished physicing writes in The Medical Pimes: Banat ogen easily holds the field against any dietetio preparation I have ever tried,"
HOW A BISHOP WAS OUREN
Banatogen's power is strikingly attested by the statement of the Rt. Rev. the Bishop of Irina, who writes: "Sanatogen. bas oured me of an obstinate dysentery from which I suffered for a long time, having found all druge powerless against it perhaps because I cannot stick to a milk diet. Sanatogen has oured me even with-
-out using milk.”
BOYS' OWN CLUB
ÁTHISTIO MĚSTING AT HAPPY VALLEY.
THE HONGKONG DAILY PRESS, MONDAY, APRIL 27TH, 1914.
Thongh the Boys' Own Club is now
comparatively a Olub in name only, it has managed to keep together plenty of young follows who make the annual athletic gathering a most entertaining fixture. The fifth meeting, which took place at Happy Valley on Saturday, was full of good racing, and the weather being fino there was a very satisfactory attend-
ance.
The meeting was held under most distinguished patronage, while the vari ous officials responsible for the successful working of everything were:-Referee: Mr. A. Rodger; Starter: Dr. F. H. Kew; Time-keepers: Messie J. Cruickshank and W. Goldenborg; Clerks of the Course: Messrs. 1. E. Chunnett, F. Schnepel, Y. Abbas and I. L. Goldenberg: Working Committee: Messrs. H. Goldenborg, F. utusi ore striking, because given in Schnepel, Y. Abbas, 1. E. Chunnett, greater detail, is the following case, W. B. Musket, I. L. Goldenberg, A. J. reported by the physician in attendancV. Ribeiro, P. R. Murray, H. J. White He writes:
M.L. had been suffering from dysentery for about three months and L. G. Cordeiro. Mr. A. R. Ellis who I first saw her. She was so feeblo carried out the Hon. Secretarial duties, that all hope of her recovery had been lost.
Details.. Seeing
her greatly emaciated and enfeebled condition, I stopped all the medicines which had been prescribed for her and started with Suuntogen. After about a month of the Sanatagon, she easily took food-milk, rice and other light articles of diet, She had only about two or three motions daily, and there was no blood. The offensive odoar was also
gone. After she was able to walk, she left
off my treatment, and, therefore, Sabat ogen als. After about ifteen days I was again called, because her condition was bad, owing to neglect and carelessness in diet and medicine. Again Sanatogen was prescribed, and again sho improved rapidly and was as healthy as ever in about twenty-five days."
HOW TO PREVENT DYSENTERY.
It must always be remembered, as Drs. Castellani and Chalmers point out in their Manual of Trepics Medicine," that the gorms of dysentery can live in the body without causing the symptoms of the diseass until the vitality is lowered by sothe agency as a chill, arattack of diarrhea, etc., when they are capable of producing their ill-effects.""

For this reason, when the individual has been exposed to the slightest pos- aibility of contracting dyventory he should make a point of taking Banatogen. By nourishing his general iraith and bring, ing his nervous systern to its highest point of officiency, Sanategen will enable him to withstand an attack to which he might otherwise succumb. This fact has so impressed large numbers of residents in China that they uso Senatogen daily to keep themselves at the highest pitch of nervous and physical efficiency.
If you wish to know more about Banatogen, write, mentioning this paper, to A. WOLFING & Co., B, Kiukiang Road. Shanghai, who will send you, gratis and pest free, an interesting pamphlet entitled
The Art of Living."
