In regard to the request for giving Mr. Holt's Bill facilities, the Premier said that there were so many changes in the law of this country that were desirable that no Government, even with the most comprehensive programme and the most stable majority (laughter) and not liable to any of those accidents or those ineidents to which Sir William Byles obesurely referred (renewed laughter) could possibly include them in its legisla tivo budget.
We have a pretty heavy cargo to carry at present-every little counts. I am not at all sure there is any room our ship for additional projects, large or small. We cannot, therefore, promise you any- thing in the nature of Government time, which is what you mean by-facilities, but sympathy and good will I do promise you in good measure as far as I am, at any rate, personally concerned. If you can manage to find a nook or crack for this little Bill of yours we shall be very happy to support you." (Cheers.)
