Mr. H. E. Pollock, R.C., instructed by Mr. H. J. Gedge (Johnson. Stokes & Master), applied to the Court to confrm a resolution that the capital of the South China Steam Fishery Co., Ltd., should Mr. Pollock said that the capital had been reduced from $150.000 to $30,000, which was the market value of the trawler. Attached to one of the uffidavits which had been filed was a balance sheet of assets and liabilities, which showed that the assets of the Com- pany consisted of shares in their Japanese Company, which creditors valued at 290,000 odd. The fiabilities were placed at 6155,000, the difference between the two amounts being in cound figures, $60,000, which was the amount by which the capital of the Company had been reduced; by special resolution.
