The Young Women's Christian Associa- tion in Hongkong, which has been making

effort during the past year to wecure funds to establish an Institute or Hostel for Women in the Colony, has been greatly encouraged and enormously helped by a generous offer from Mr. Ellia Kadoorie, set out in the subjoined corres- pondence which has been forwarürd, to us; for publication :--
