RANDOM REFLECTIONS.
Some people are hora grumblers. During the week I have heard remarks, used in a complaining tone, on the fact that the atmosphere is too warm for the time of year. Those who grumble in this warm way are surely not worried with an imagination which yearns for sunlight and colours. When the sun reflects ita warm rays eastern cities, are at their vivid colours and general cosmopolitan They resemble those pictures of animation peculiar to the East, which we have read about at Home and longed to witness. When the weather is dull Victoria is equally drab. When the sky is cloudless and the sun glistens upon everything it is a city of delight; wonder ful colours mingle themselves into one big moving picture, and you can look down from your verandab and feast the eyes for hours. Maintaining its present gentle warmth, the sun can remain in this happy mood for quite a long time, and I for one shall not grumble.
