This math, which took place on the Hongkong Uricket ground on Saturday, was rendered especially noteworthy by u magnificent display of free hitting by A. R. Sutherland, who compiled 110 in the short spuce of 35 minutes. He collared the bowling from the start, and' lashed the deliveries of the University trundlery to all puris of the field. On ten occasions be despatched the ball clean. out of the ground for six, and ho also reached the railings nine times. One over alone yielded him 25 ruits. He followed this up by capturing six of the University men's wickets for 20 runs, Scores:

MASONIC CENTENARY.
REFORM OF GRAND LODGE.
Freemasons
are showing themselves anxious for a practical celebration of a century of oxistence of the United Grand Lodge of England, which was, officially brought into being on December 27th, 1513. says the Daily Telegraph. The suggestions of the executive are of great and wide importance, or, as expressed in the official report. There could be no more appropriate manner of celebrating the close of the important epoch which has passed than that of endeavouring to set our house in order and to fortify it afresh against the ravages of time and the dangers that may possibly arise during that further epoch of even greater expan- sion and activity to which all true Free-` masons look forward with confidence and hope."
