We are reminded how undefined the 'compradore'a position now is, and bow it varies in character at the different ports as well as in different bronches of business sach as banking, and the import and export trade The writer then goes on to discuss particularly the case of the German Asiatic Bauk in Tsinanfu, which has apparently given rise to the latest: controversy.
