POSITION OF PLACER GOLD,

The location of the pay-streak in placer deposits has been deduced from an eight years' study of the Klondike region by J. B. Tyrrel Under normal stream action, a V-shaped valley is transformed to U shape as it is worn down and made less steep, and as it wears nearly to base- level flood plains and terraces are formed on the hottom.
